** NOTE: Athletes will be diverted onto the jeep track back to Ghandruk if they arrive at Uri after 17.00.
This reduces the run to 18 kilometres in total distance by removing the last climb and last stage of the ridge run. This is for safety reasons so no athlete is starting the climb in the dark.
The diverted ‘lower’ route finishes at the same Finishing Line in Ghandruk as the full ridge line ‘high’ route .
Athletes diverted on to this ‘low’ route will still gain an official place on the finisher’s list, in order behind the last person completing the full ‘high’ route, and will also still receive a finisher’s shirt.
